ALVINNN!!! Channel Info

Journal Entry: Mon Feb 24, 2014, 1:08 PM
This doesn't effect me too much, since we still don't know what channel it'll be on here, but I figured I'd post this in the Alvinnn!!! group anyway for my fellow Chipmunk fans overseas!

Alvinnn!!! and The Chipmunks has been picked up in over 70 countries by Nickelodeon, excluding North America and Brazil. I don't know what all of the countries are exactly, but I also know it will be aired on channel M6 in France.

More great news is that the show is now 104x11 instead of 52x11!!!

Oh and I also found another song title recently: "BE A BOSS"

I hope it's on the Hub!  Nickelodeon has a habit of killing all of my favorite shows :XD:  Of course, I'm not going to complain no matter what happens because it's a new Chipmunks TV show!!  It's gonna be awesome no matter what!

I do too. Nickelodeon either kills a show too early or drags it out so long they ruin it. T,T

I'm hoping we get it on Nickelodeon, only because more people get Nick than The Hub. The Hub would be better with advertising though.

I don't care TOO much either way. xD

I don't think The Hub would be better at advertising than Nick, because everyone knows what Nick is.

I figured the three choices for television airing for the show would be on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network or The Hub. Now that we know it won't be aired on Nickelodeon in North America - we can still hope it will air on The Hub. It makes sense because it plays entertaining shows, plus it's the only network that plays Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman and Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein a few times a year.

Cartoon Network? Eh, not so much. The Hub is a great home for the new chipmunk series! Which is now 104x11! That makes me happy.

Thanks for keeping us updated! :D

Yeah, me too. We don't know it won't be aired on Nickelodeon. It could still be, honestly, and is probably more likely to be now than The Hub or CN due to the fact it will be aired on that channel overseas. I think it's more suited for The Hub, but there is still a chance it could be on Nick.

Remember the fact that Bagdasarian Productions is making the deal for the U.S., while Ouido! Productions is making it for France(which is why it's no another channel there) and PGS Entertainment is doing it for the rest of the world, which is why they've struck this deal and why it doesn't involve the U.S.

Well, you know how 3 of the song titles for the new series are "You Are Beautiful", "Keep Dancing" and "When We're Old and Grey"? Well, in the 2013 release "The Glass Slipper Collection", apparently they replaced two songs in "The Chipette Story" and one in "The Picture of Health" with these 3 songs respectively.

I found a video where someone had played the 3 underneath their information about the new series.

I'm pretty much certain that they are samples from the new series, because of the titles and the originality and the modern-like voices singing. :D

I suppose they might not be, but it's pretty coincidental

Oh, I know all of that, I made that video.

They aren't samples from the new series, they were written to replace the songs in those episodes. I even stated that in the video. I included them in the list of songs for the video because their copyrights were renewed when the copyrights were filed for the rest of the new song and episode titles, so there is a small chance they might be in the show.

Ah I thought you might have made that video :D

They're good songs, though - I hope they'll make full versions eventually

I don't think they will make full versions of them, they were just written to replace the songs that were originally in the episode. They are good, though. Especially Keep Dancing and When I'm Old and Grey.

You're a life saver- I mean, I know I wouldn't be able to find this info myself... So thanks, a whole lot!

(And I think this show is best-suited for the hub...Cartoon network would be terrible because- have you seen what kind of idiotic shows they have replaced the good old ones with? Annoying Orange? Really?)

Again, thanks. ;)

You're welcome!

I think it's best suited for The Hub too. Cartoon Network and Nick both have a lot of really idiotic shows recently. >.< (For nick, there's things like Breadwinners...that show looks like the absolute WORST thing on the planet.

I know.. I saw the commercial for "Breadwinners" and I thought, "Really? That's the best they can think of..?"

How do shows like that and "Uncle Grandpa" Get excepted?

I miss how CN and Nick used to be.
With the Rugrats and such.

But at least the munks and ettes are back!

(And may I ask what you mean by saying the show is 104x11 instead of 52x11? Do you mean how long the show is? I heard it was only 11 minutes long.. -.-

Seriously. >.< Me too.

104x11 means there will be 104 11 minute episodes, or 52 30 minute episodes, instead of 54 11 minute episodes or 27 30 minute episodes.

Each half hour episode will be comprised of two 11 minute episodes, just like how it was in the 80's cartoon for the majority of the time(with some episodes that filled the full 30 minutes, making them 23 minutes long).

So yes, each episode is 11 minutes long, but it was the same for the 80's cartoon.

Oh..Never noticed the 80's one's were 11 minutes long.
I usually watch them on daily motion, but they're so many rare one's I never got to see, and "The Chipmunk Reunion" Is one I've seen, but can't find anymore. Do you happen to know anywhere it's posted?

I've seen a few in German...I used to live in Germany but never learned the language..Now I really wish I did :P

Yeah, not all of them are but most of them are. I don't know where The Chipmunk Reunion is posted online, if it even still is. They get taken down pretty fast. I haven't watched it online in years because I have it on DVD. :(

Yeah, I've watched all the ones that are available in German that aren't in English just so I can see the episode itself, even if I don't know what it's saying! We got someone who speaks German to translate two episodes(one of which came out on DVD right after he finished!), but he's far too busy to do more now. It would be nice to know more people who speak German. :(

Sure would. (You are SO lucky to have it on DVD! Which Disc/Case/DVD? I might order it on Ebay..Please tell me ;) )

Every time I see a chipmunk DVD, I buy it; Because I know pretty soon those episodes will be taken down. And having them as your own is awesome!

It's on 'The Very First Alvin Show' DVD. It's the only DVD that has the 60's Chipmunks on the cover. It has an episode of The Alvin Show along with A Chipmunk Reunion and Rockin Through the Decades.

Yeah. I don't own all of the DVDs that have been released, but every episode on DVD is on one of the DVDs I own(since they re-release them so much).

I think it's more well suited for The Hub than any other channel, but I know a lot of other people that don't get it. Since it's a channel that usually costs extra I think it would be bad for it to be there since so many people wouldn't get to see it.
